4 competitors from Watford and Bushey Schools made the trip to Canterbury, Kent for an Open Style competition.
Scott Hastings (Watford) fought a Kick Boxer and stood his ground well, dealing with punches that should have had his opponent disqualified and after a "deciding round" came through to take 3rd place in the Semi Contact under 80Kg's continuous section.
Mr Lewis, First fought a Karate 2nd Dan, a fight that was taken to an initial "deciding round". Mr Lewis defeated a Kick Boxer before taking 2nd place in the competition after losing in the finals of the 90+ Kg's section to a Muay Thai specialist
Rowanne Clowsley (Bushey) fought 3 Kick Boxers on her way to a well deserved 1st place in the Adult Ladies Open Weight, for her 1st competition we are extremely impressed with the ability shown by Rowanne.
Mr Yendell secured a place in the final event, a 90+ Kg's amatuer MMA fight. Mr Yendell ended the section with 2nd place after being made to submit by a Black Belt Ju Jitsu Instructor. Mr Yendell with no training in any ground game stood his ground very well in this final and we look forward to seeing much more from him in the future.
