Follow the one way system round the back to the car park.

Gym has disabled access and raised gala seating for spectators.

Bedford 2008 Graduations

Bedford graduations are held at the Stansfield Gym within the University Of Bedford, Polhill Avenue, Bedford.  The dates are as follows:

  • 24th Febuary

  • 27th April

  • 31st August

  • 26th October

All graduations include Black Belt tag graduations.

"In October 2004 I was at breaking point my son Jack was being bullied, he did not want to go to school, he was making him self sick, clinging to his Mum’s leg when taken to school, I was getting phone calls from the school requesting me to come and collect him because he was not well, and all the time this was going on he would not tell me what was wrong.

I knew he was being bullied but did not know who it was doing the bullying. I felt helpless to do anything for him, so decided as a last resort to go down to the Bunyan Centre in Bedford to see if we could find a self-defence class, so he could be taught to look after himself, as he would not let me help him.

We saw your poster in the Bunyan Centre saying all about self-defence class and how it helped kids deal with their confidence and therefore deal with the bullies.Jack joined in that Saturday and within 3 weeks I could see a huge change in him you had given him all his confidence back and I got my son back.

Since those dark days I have seen him change so much, he now enjoys school, and has not been off sick since last year, his manners have improved and his confidence is coming through even in the way he walks and talks. 

I would like to say a big THANK YOU, not only to you but also to the other members of your family including Sean, Giovanna, and Linda who all work very hard to teach Jack self defence, as well as life skills including manners and respect for others."
